About Thais Coca
Hi, I’m Thais — a Brazilian astrologer, therapist, and sailor at heart, based on the beautiful island of Menorca, Spain. When I’m not on the island, you’ll likely find me aboard my sailboat, Querência, or weaving through a wide web of family, friends, and clients in Brazil, Italy, South Africa, and the US.
Astrology has long been part of my life, but it became a daily practice in 2017, when I left a filmmaking career in South America to live on the ocean, remaining as my primary work ever since. I am a certified Evolutionary Astrologer, having studied with Patricia Walsh, Rose Marcus, and Laura Nalbandian. I also hold a postgraduate degree in Cultural Astronomy and Astrology from the University of Wales, under the guidance of Nicholas Campion. I am a certified Deep Memory Process practitioner, trained fearlessly by Patricia Walsh, and I’m currently undertaking further studies in Depth Psychology through both the Pacifica Graduate Institute and the Southern African Association of Jungian Analysts. My professional approach weaves Depth Psychology with energetic healing practices based on Shamanic principles.

My background in filmmaking — particularly in scriptwriting — shaped the way I relate to meaning and narrative, lending me the archetypal sensibility that is central to my therapeutic work. It taught me to notice how the energy inherent in a story unfolds, where it fractures or dissipates, and where its points of creative release and resolution lie. I experience astrology as a way of perceiving the deeper structure of life, and regression therapy as a direct encounter with its unprocessed passages and latent potential — a way of meeting the story from within, rather than observing it from a distance.
My foundation is rooted in Vedic philosophy, Tibetan Buddhism, and Classical Indian Music, which have been part of my life since childhood. My mentor, the incomparable flutist G. S. Sachdev, introduced me to a way of listening that goes beyond sound — an attention to nuance, timing, and what moves beneath the surface, as well as the dedication that comes from mastering oneself in a chosen skill. This sensibility continues to inform both my work and my life. My guru, Lama Gangchen Rinpoche, offered me deep energetic insight and transformation through the practice of Tibetan Buddhism, and through the gift of receiving wisdom within an unbroken lineage. The ocean, in turn, has given me an awareness of ancestry that extends beyond bloodline, providing a profound sense of belonging, connection, and healing.
My work weaves together the symbolic, the psychological, and the experiential, supporting people in becoming aware of the patterns in their lives, reclaiming lost or disowned parts of themselves, and making space for conscious growth and integration.
